CPG and CBO Opportunities

Are you a community leader wanting to make a difference on housing policy in the Tahoe region? Join us as we work on updating our housing policies to make housing more affordable and accessible through a new project, “Tahoe Living—Cultivating Community, Conserving the Basin”.

We are recruiting nonprofit organizations and community and community-based organization (CBO) leaders to partner with us in two different ways (with the option of one or both types of participation):

CBO Mini Grantee

The second option is to become a CBO mini grantee. Four organizations will receive $10,000 each, plus $2500 for direct costs (to cover gift cards, food, and other needed costs) to conduct community outreach to underserved and impacted communities over a two-year period starting in January 2025.

Community Partner Group (CPG)

The first option is joining our Community Partner Group (CPG), a diverse advisory group focused on advancing equity in housing policy and planning that would meet roughly quarterly throughout the two-year planning process. This may be in person or virtual, depending on members’ preference and the meeting content. CPG members will receive a stipend to attend meetings. The CPG will have its first meeting in November.

How to Participate

To finalize your organization’s participation in the CPG and/or CBO Mini Grant program, please download the CPG Participation Expectations and application and the CBO Mini Grant application below. For any questions, contact Chris Lepe, Mariposa Planning Solutions, at Chris@mariposaplan.com

CPG applications are due 10/28/2024 and CBO mini grant applications are due 12/2/2024.
